I find it immensely useful that "string operations" in other languages actually work on _sequences_ in Common Lisp. on the other hand, that sometimes does make them harder to find when you look specifically for string operations, and perhaps more so when you need a few keyword arguments to get what you really want. #:Erik -- ATTENTION, all abducting aliens! you DON'T need to RETURN them!
