Subject: Re: Free vs Commercial Lisp From: Erik Naggum <email@example.com> Date: 1998/12/29 Newsgroups: comp.lang.lisp Message-ID: <firstname.lastname@example.org> * David Steuber <email@example.com> | Can I use ISLISP/XEmacs with ACL, or do I have to use an ACL editor? Allegro CL basically assumes Emacs for the development environment, which I prefer over "decidated" editors. only under Windows does Allegro CL come with its own IDE. lots of stuff in the Emacs/Lisp interface is very hard to obtain from ILISP, however, and I use a slightly hacked version of the ELI package. #:Erik -- if people came with documentation, could men get the womanual?
