Since DrScheme is built on top of MrEd, which in turn is built on top
of MzScheme and the C++ wxWindows GUI toolkit, I suggest looking at the
documentation of MzScheme itself. In particular, see:

    <URL:http://www.cs.rice.edu/CS/PLT/packages/doc/insidemz/node5.htm>
    Writing MzScheme Extensions
    To write a C/C++-based extension for MzScheme, follow these steps:
    ...

p.s. There *used* to be a package named "xctocc"
<URL:http://www.cs.rice.edu/CS/PLT/packages/doc/xctocc/index.htm>
in the PLT tool chain to automatically build C++ glue code for
MzScheme, but that link is broken and a search of the site turns
up nothing to replace it. (???)
