Uh...  Did you look in the spec?  R5RS section 6.2.6 "Numerical
input and output" <URL:http://www.schemers.org/Documents/Standards/
R5RS/HTML/r5rs-Z-H-9.html#%_sec_6.2.6>. It's right there.
