Subject: [Q]:ask-user-for-(existing)-directory ??? in ACL/PC

Date: 1997-1-23 11:51

Hi,

I'm missing a dialog to let the user choose a directory. It's not hard to
build an own one (I already did it and also found basic sample code in the
on-line doc) but nevertheless it's not the look and feel of Windows.
Might it be possible that the guys at Mircosoft don't have it in their OS
toolbox? I can't believe it.
After a search in other so-called standard applications, I found a
directory-choose-dialog in the WORD preferences. It looks like the file-box
but you can only see and choose a directory.
Does they use one of their private/hidden/undocumented parts of the OS or
is it a new feature to win95/WinNT and therefore it was too late to provide
an interface in ACL/PC 3.0.1??

Tnaks to anybody who is able to bring light in the dark side of Windows
tool-box programming :))

- stefan
