| I have been trying, off and on, to get my
| ACL for Win-95 to run with the Emacs for Win 95.
| I could use some help with it -- I like how it
| works in the Unix world and am having trouble
| replicating my work environment at home.
|
| Also, I remember someone saying that there was
| going to be a library available that implements
| some of the Mac Common Lisp window features
| (such as yes-or-no-dialog box) for ACL. Does
| anyone know about this?

There is already a very sophisticated Emacs <-> Lisp
interface (EditI) between Win-Emacs and ACL/Win
(EditI and Win-Emacs are bundled with the professional
version of ACL/Win).

Currently this interface only works with Win-Emacs
(a port of XEmacs, which is very similiar to FSF
Emacs, but different enough to cause some problems).

Eventually EditI will be ported to FSF Emacs, and
the features of EditI and the analogous Franz FI
will be merged into a unified super Emacs <-> Lisp
interface (that is as soon as someone funds the work).
