Subject: Unwanted scrollbar with ACL5 for Windows

Date: 1999-3-10 12:14

Hi,

I need a window with just a horziontal-scrollbar. If I use ":scrollbars
:horizontal" with make-window I have a window with just a horizontal
scroller only as long a the window-height does not get below a certain value
(with the following example I had a "minimun-height" of 144 screen-units).
If the window-height gets below that a (very much unwanted) vertical
scrollbar appears. Please verify this with the following example.

(make-window :test :device 'non-refreshing-window
  :scrollbars :horizontal)

This only happens if I use ":scrollbars horizontal", with "scrollbars nil"
neither horizontal nor vertical bar appears.

System-Specs:
*  ACL5.0, newest Patches, Windows NT 4 SP4, K6-200, 128 MB

Any coments would be appreciated. Actually I am in desperate need of a
workaround :-(
