Title: Expert Systems Senior Developer
Full Time Position, Immediate Opening.
         Development of an expert system shell for manufacturing
         applications, cost estimation, and design for manufacturability.

Minimum Requirements: Fluency in Lisp, C, C++ or Java in a UNIX/NT
environment
Substantial experience developing Object Oriented systems. Experience
developing
expert systems, language development, or database interfaces.
MS in Computer Science plus 5 years experience or equivalent education/work
experience.

Location: Cognition, Corp. Bedford, MA. 12 miles NW of Boston.

Desirable Qualifications: Experience in developing advanced software
          for Mechanical Engineering, CAD/CAM, MCAE, or Design for
          Manufacturability/Assembly is desirable. Also experience
in developing constraint systems, web communication, interfaces to SQL
databases;
evaluation and use of GUIs and Expert Systems shells;
          development of applications for international markets is
desirable.

an integrated set of advanced software tools for Mechanical/Manufacturing
Engineers. These programs assist organizations in optimizing the new product
design and the management of the products throughout their life cycle.

manufacturing companies. International sales account for substantial
revenue.

assessing the production costs and manufacturability of a new product
design given a description of the resources of a manufacturing facility.
