I'm also finding in ACL4.3/CLIM2.1 on the unix side to have the same 
problem with the clim::select-file dialog window. The subwindow pane that 
shows the filenames is way too narrow. How do I increase its width? When 
I increase the dialog window's width, only the directory window on the 
left side takes up the increase width.

Help..please
